"Bad Burn Blues"

Just another sunny summer day
Not a care in the world
I never thought that I would have to pay
For playing with yard tools that had been unfurled

But to my dismay the day would be for naught
And many days after as far as my arm is concerned
Because it was a mechanical beast that I had fought
That ended with my flesh and honor burned

My wounds were great and my pain severe
Crowds gathered by to see such devastation
There were more voices than I could bear to hear
Few people had seen such mutilation

It is lucky for me that it will only leave a scar
Just another problem that time and attention will solve
It would have been worse if I had been hit with a car
Let us hope that my bad fortune does not evolve

  2. This poem almost has sort of a comical sense to me since you describe your experience as this epic battle almost and it all happened because you decided to play with yard tools.
