"Bad Burn Blues"

Just another sunny summer day
Not a care in the world
I never thought that I would have to pay
For playing with yard tools that had been unfurled

But to my dismay the day would be for naught
And many days after as far as my arm is concerned
Because it was a mechanical beast that I had fought
That ended with my flesh and honor burned

My wounds were great and my pain severe
Crowds gathered by to see such devastation
There were more voices than I could bear to hear
Few people had seen such mutilation

It is lucky for me that it will only leave a scar
Just another problem that time and attention will solve
It would have been worse if I had been hit with a car
Let us hope that my bad fortune does not evolve

"St. Patrick's Day Rush"

Today is March 17, 2014.
The day everyone goes out to wear green
My family from all over will meet
in the city, where we can properly greet
each other and celebrate this holiday.
I have to drive there and my dad will pay
me a hundred dollars to run some errands
for him. So before I leave we go over the plan
Go to Wine and Roses to pick up flowers,
the bakery for soda bread, go home to shower,
and be ready by five sharp he told me.
I looked at the time and it's 4:29!
I rush here I rush there but I'm almost done
I look at the clock it's 5:01!
My family waited because they love me
Now I can go to the city and see my family.

"Trouble Finding A Job"

There's no doubt I've been low on money,
no more chores with Mr. Cleany.
My parents cut me off,
I need a real job, one with a boss.

I don't eve know where to start,
I could be a mall cop, like Paul Blart.
or work at Starbacks making cappachinos
possibly even Macy's, hanging up clothes.

I'm driving down each street to look,
I'm applying everywhere, but everywhere is booked
Now I have to wait to see if anyone will call
I may as well just give up and find a nice hotdog stall.

I see a voice mail from an unknown number,
This could possibly be my savior.
I need more money asap, I'm getting by on few
But this could all change tomorrow, at my new job interview
